Tuesday Notes. A Reprieve.
I openly admit, I am cheating a bit this week. I have so many things on my mind I could write about, so many things I want to write about, but I am feeling quiet tonight instead. Sunday we said goodbye to our family pug, Cassie. My focus is really on my family tonight, especially my mama, whose feet this pup was never more than 5 feet from -- except when my brother, her clear favorite, was home on break. My mom raised us with a deep love for animals. Since my brother and I have been alive we have raised and cared for cats, dogs, bunnies, guinea pigs, hamsters, parakeets, hermit crabs, and goldfish -- not all at the same time, thank goodness. Growing up, my mom also worked part-time at a local nature/farm center and so at a young age I was holding corn snakes, petting sheep, riding horses, and feeding giant pigs. Even now, living at in my grandparents old house, I can't help but wonder if it's genetic. This year alone, I have had a plethora of birds, baby raccoons, and baby deer wandering through both my front and back yards. I am also kept company indoors by two of the strangest adopted cats you will ever meet. Admittedly, sometimes I start to feel like Disney's Snow White or Sleeping Beauty ... but I love and am fascinated by them all the same.
So, I promise you my heart has not run out of words, but it is taking a break tonight.
However! I did get to write a blog post based out of Proverbs for an online study last week. If you want to, you can check that out HERE.
Happy Tuesday friends.
